I was thinking that whether Grameen Bank could introduce the mobile banking in Bangladesh.

Today Orascom(parent organisation of Bangladesh second largest telecom company Baglalink)chief Naguib Sawiris visited Dhaka and opined that they are interested to introduce mobile banking once they start business in banking in Bangladesh.

    That’s very interesting, Badrud,

I was told by Grameen Solutions that they use http://www.obopay.com

But why let a Californian company benefit when it can be done at home!?…

I shall keep this in mind.

    Thank You as always!

A report said that on the application of Grameen in the last December,2007 Bangladesh Central Bank studied the feasibility of mobile banking in Bangladesh and is going to allow the mobile banking soon throughout the country beyond the conventional use of mobile phone in banking. http://www.thedailystar.net/story.php?nid=37467
